Bunker Park

The fortress system called "the Hungarian Magin Line" is almost twice as long as the name giver French Magin Line (350 km). The Southern Defense Line consisted of three protective tracks, the first of which was the so-called main guard rails built the most. The defensive line started to build in 1950. The most expensive activity was the establishment of a large-scale fortress system with the help of Soviet military experts. The fortifications here - which were called the common language bunker - were built on Soviet plans between 1952 and 1955.

The hedge in the woods between Páka and Csömödér is a part of this historically interesting era.

Csömödér

Csömödér is the settlement named from the forest railway stop. Here was the end of the forest railroad until 1999. After joining this railway line with the Lenti Forest Trail, it became an intermediate station. Next to the train station is Zalaerdő's tourist hostel.
